This Privacy Policy describes how Calcy Vault ("we", "us", or "our") handles your information when you use our mobile application ("App").

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to external servers.


All data you store in the App — including photos, videos, documents, and audio files — is encrypted and stored locally on your device only. We have no access to your files, your PIN, or any content inside the vault.


We do not collect:

- Your name, email, or contact information

- Location data

- Device identifiers or advertising IDs

- Usage analytics or crash reports

- Any files or media you store in the App

2. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED

All files stored in Calcy Vault are encrypted using AES-256-CBC encryption. The encryption key is generated on your device and stored securely in your device's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Secure Enclave). This key never leaves your device.


Your vault PIN is stored locally and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

3. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Calcy Vault does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.


The App does not contain ads.


The App does not use any third-party SDKs that collect user data.

4. PERMISSIONS

The App may request the following permissions:


- Camera — to take photos or videos to store in the vault

- Photo Library / Media Storage — to import files from your gallery

- Biometric Authentication — for fingerprint or Face ID unlock (data stays on device)

- File Storage — to save encrypted files locally on your device


These permissions are used solely to provide the App's features. No data is shared externally.

5. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

This App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has used the App and you have concerns, please contact us.

6. DATA SECURITY

We take security seriously. All vault contents are encrypted with AES-256-CBC before being written to disk. Your PIN and encryption keys are protected by your device's secure hardware. In duress mode, a separate PIN can be used to show a fake empty vault for additional safety.

7. DATA DELETION

You can delete all your data at any time from within the App via Settings → Danger Zone → Delete All Files. Uninstalling the App will also remove all locally stored encrypted files from your device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new policy.
